Detailed description of the external antenna

The external antenna is a particularly useful accessory for controlling automations from a greater distance. It is suitable for a frequency of 433.92 MHz and has a coaxial cable (RG-58) 2.5m long. The cable can be cut to the desired length while it also has a metal support for support at the appropriate point.

It is installed when the receiver with the antenna must be in different places for the automation to work properly.

It is mainly placed outside metal roller shutters and metal roof garage doors since their metal surface prevents the signal from going outside. So the receiver, for protection and safety reasons, is placed inside, while the antenna is outside. Also, it may be necessary to install an antenna on opening automations if the license plate receiver is installed inside the building and the arms are outside at a long distance. In general, however, where there is a need to strengthen the signal range, the external antenna is the sure solution.
